Capitalism

Following World War I, capitalism began to engulf the poor and suppress humanity all over the globe. When WWII broke out, capitalism grew to be a behemoth in the global economy. The United States was then given the ability to take control of the economy. As a result, people from all over the world flocked to America to realise their dreams.

They began to believe that hard work would guarantee them a comfortable lifestyle, which they dubbed the American Dream.

Because of capitalism, everybody eventually becomes a loser. The American Dream is a ruse used by capitalism to mislead the public. Capitalism is the part of an economic system in which private individuals and institutions own and control production.

Or it may be economic individualism, in which individuals determine whether and how much should be created and distributed.

Capitalism is an economic structure in which capital resources are owned by private individuals or companies. A market economy is one in which goods and services are produced based on supply and demand in the general market, rather than by central planning, as in a planned or command economy.

Private people are unrestricted here. They will decide where to invest, what to produce or sell, and at what prices goods and services are exchanged. Most countries now have a mixed capitalist structure, in which the government regulates industry and owns a portion of those industries.

European feudalism spawned capitalism. Until the 12th century, less than 5% of Europe’s population resided in cities.

Skilled workers lived in the city but were serfs for landed nobles, receiving their keep from feudal lords rather than a real income. By the late Middle Ages, however, rising urbanism, with cities as hubs of industry and trade, had become increasingly important economically.

The introduction of true wages in the trades allowed more people to move to towns where they could earn money rather than subsistence in return for labour. The trade towns could provide new sources of income for families with extra sons and daughters who needed to be put to work. As much as serfdom was a part of rural life, child labour was a part of the town’s economic growth.

They are free to use any method of production and create whatever they want. In this economic structure, the state is only responsible for the country’s internal and external stability. Normally, the government regulates the operations of the Defense, Police, Administration, and Courts of Justice.

Capitalism effecting mental health:

Though capitalists have created a mantra for fools, claiming that capitalism has so many positive aspects from which they can benefit. Daydreamers, on the other hand, never try to see the dark side.

Around the same time, capitalism has a dark side that seeks to obliterate human identity.

Inequality in the distribution of national income, volatility in the level of jobs, class conflicts, waste of talents, high publicity costs resulting in a rise in the cost and price of the product, and so on are some of the dark faces.

Its assumptions about democracy and capitalism are too doctrinaire to suggest anything of lasting meaning.

Given the prevalence of the symptoms in our population, we should consider: what if correcting ourselves isn’t enough? What if the problem is much deeper, and depression, suffering, and isolation are woven into our social system’s very fabric?

We’ve known for a long time that our social circumstances — everything from our physical surroundings to our socioeconomic status to dominant cultural values — have a significant impact on our psychological well-being. It’s past time to start being precise about what’s at the root of the mental health crisis; it’s past time to call this scheme what it is: capitalism.
